August 1941 (Probably September)
- Dear Papa Mutti and Ingrid,
I was very grateful to get your letter of 5.7. I'm very sad that you can't
give me any hope! As far as the photos are concerned, I, the mother of
Ingrid and Irene, think and now hope that you will grant me this wish and
understand me as she has nothing else and would be so pleased about it. As
far as the payment from August is concerned, it is my wish that they hand it
over to you so that you'll at least be somewhat relieved. I hope that Dr.
Gerson will be able to grant me this wish when you tell him, or have I been
completely dispensed with? I just want it for your own good. As to Willi's
wedding, I hope that he finally becomes the human being that one expects.
I'm sorry that Otto's gone, although I wish him all the best. Please write
everything you hear about him and always send him my regards. What are my
Lilly and Herta doing and the brother-in-law and the children? Give them my
warmest wishes. When are they going to put in a letter? I hope the war ends
soon and I can then come horne. I'll work for you and look after you as
you're now doing for me. Stay well. Thousand greetings and kisses Irma
